7.5 “Great Club from England”

Single released in June, 2017.

Rowan Tyler Jones, known by his stage name Route 94, is a producer and DJ from Richmond, London.

An old-skool production frames the cut, with a cracking repetitive bassline and some intriguing spoken word, inferring some sort of domestic drama. A bit of detective work reveals these to be sampled vocals of Linda Clifford via Joey Negro’s “Ride the Storm” from back in the early 00s.
