“Fantastic Slowcore from England”
From their “Canaveral” EP issued in January 2015.
There was a tune-per-day on this blog in August. Will this continue in September? YES! And they’ll all be no less than great, you have my word.
“I’ve got more records than the K.G.B.” <<< name that tune?
But I digress… this is high quality fare and I shall be keeping an eye out for their long promised album which has not yet materialised.
Barton Carriages is a three-piece beat combo split between Bristol and London, consisting of Ben Owen (guitar, vocals), Ben Tupper (drums), Markland Starkie (guitar, vocals). All three have spent time over the last decade or so making music in various bands you haven’t heard of, from Soeza to Sleeping States; have spent time distracted by other things; and now find themselves scratching the creative itch again. Formed in the latter half of 2014, the band self-released the Canaveral EP in early 2015 and followed it up with a run of gigs around the country and a handful more around Bristol’s DIY scene. They have released a short film by artist Kypros Kyprianou to accompany the song ‘Sabre’ and now a video for the title track of the EP. ~ sin-eater.co.uk
